One of the hardest things about go low carb or keto is giving up sugar. Thank goodness there are alternatives:
I primarily use Stevia and Erythritol. Stevia for my coffee and Erythritol for baking. Sometimes, I use them together in some recipes because the sweetness is lacking something, but with the two together, it’s pretty darn close to real sugar in flavor and sweetness.
My best sources for Stevia is Trader Joe’s, but if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s in your area, “SweetLeaf Sweet Drops” will do in a pinch.
For the granulated pure Erythritol, I stand by Anthony’s.
If you find yourself experimenting with frosting, you can try a few drops of Stevia along with homemade confectioner’s sugar.
Make the confectioner’s sugar by putting 1/2 cup of granulated Erythritol into a “Bullet” style blender to pulverize it. It will make 3/4 of a cup powdered for every 1/2 cup of granulated.
